The decision to begin supporting the education of children in developing countries was born from a child's smile.
On a trekking trail in Nepal, mountain village children greeted me with radiant smiles before I could even say "Namaste." To my weary steps, those smiles were the most precious gift in the world.
I wanted to repay those smiles. I wanted to protect those smiles.
How could we keep children smiling? After much reflection, I came to the conclusion that what children need most is the restoration of their right to education. Because education is the strongest wings for children to open their own futures.
That is why we established "A World Where Every Child Smiles" as AllMyKids' vision. Even though we cannot make every child smile all at once, we believe that if we return a smile to each child we meet, one by one, a world where every child smiles will surely come to be.
Until the day comes when every child smiles,
AllMyKids will walk beside them.
